Job Description
Responsible for providing performance testing leadership to SO projects. The Senior Performance Tester is expected to have in-depth knowledge of a range of technological areas, including performance testing processes, methodologies, and standards.
Also responsible for reviewing architecture, non-functional requirements, preparing estimates and defining non-functional test plans and strategies. The role will also provide performance testing consultancy and guidance.
Principal Responsibilities:

Knowledge of multiple Industry standard and performance testing tools
-
Analyse the application/hardware under test, the performance testing requirements and the project acceptance criteria
-
Design test scenario(s) and produce project test plans
-
Undertake the initial installation and configuration of the performance testing tool and monitors
-
Provide expertise in the use of the chosen tool on a variety of platforms and in different technical environments
-
Build and test performance scenario(s)
-
Execute performance tests, collate results provided by the selected performance test tool and produce analysis reports that may include performance improvement recommendations

Contribute to performance bottleneck identification and resolution

Responsible for adhering to all internal policy and procedures in relation to security and quality best practice

The individual essential skills include:

8+ Years’ experience in Performance Testing
-
In-depth knowledge of HP Loadrunner
-
Track record experience in load, stress, soak testing
-
Above average C programming skills
-
Have a deep understanding of the performance test project life cycle and deliverables
-
Have a strong understanding of performance test principles
-
Able to demonstrate good communication skills to ensure team, management, and customers are informed and up to date

Able to provide non-functional performance tuning opportunities and recommendations
-
Able to provide performance test tool on-boarding and training where appropriate
-
